Park Supervisor

Park Supervisor
Oversees and manages the day to day operation of a section of the Park. Performs various supervisory duties including but not limited to employee training, employee relations and payroll.Job Duties:
• Motivates employees to ensure customers are our #1 priority
• Supervises the conduct and appearance of all staff to ensure standards are kept
• Successfully copes with demands from superiors, subordinates and peers
• Creates employee schedules based on allotted budget
• Supervises the operation and procedures of Playland Park
• Maintains strict safety and operation standards
• Provides customers with ride information and operating procedures
• Ability to supervise and direct subordinates in routine operating procedures
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to follow and carry out oral and written instructions
• Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent customer service skills

• Minimum 1-year experience in a supervisory role
• Minimum for Supervisor: : must have been employed at least 2 seasons as a Ride Operator

General Maintenance
General Maintenance
The Maintenance Department is responsible for the physical plant and operating equipment at the 280 acre Playland Park site.
The maintenance department consists of six different trades divisions:
Carpenter | Electrical | Gardener | Plumbing | Painting | Mechanical
Job Duties:
• Cleans and operates equipment, supplies and instruments
• Loads and unloads trucks, receives and/or moves supplies, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Performs routine cleaning, maintenance and repair assignments
• Assists in the maintenance and performs routine maintenance of amusement rides, physical plant, automotive and operating equipment
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum six-months of experience, ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
Hours: Flexible – 6:00 AM – 12:00 Midnight

Beach and Pool Attendant
This position is responsible for keeping the Beach & Pool beautiful.Job Duties:
• Receives tickets for beach or pool entrance
• Checks for items not allowed on pool deck, food, floatation devices, etc.
• Sweeps, mops, empties garbage cans, hose down and scrub locker rooms.
• Walks along beach wall and picks-ups bottles, cans, etc. when needed
• Does necessary cleaning during operating hours
• Answers questions of the public and maintains order in bathhouse
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, ability to get along well with others; integrity
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to deal courteously but firmly with the public

Ride Operators
Responsible for the safe operation of large, complex, high ridership amusement rides.Job Duties: • Operates one of the large, complex, high ridership amusement rides, following strict safety and mechanical procedures
• Provides public with information and riding instructions, resolves complaints and disputes by patrons
• Reports mechanical problems to supervisor, inspects grounds for cleanliness
• Relays all complaints and accidents to proper supervisor
• Assures the ride and ride area is maintained cleaned throughout the day
• Thorough knowledge of the proper usage and safety factors of a particular ride or attraction
• Ability to give and enforce simple instructions
• Ability to get along well with others; reliability; good judgment; tact; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
